Help?

So I'm new to this site. I have 6 page views and I have no idea on working this thing. I've been wanting to make one of these for a while now, and now that I have, I love it...if only I can figure out how to work it? Seriously...this is the #1 reason why I don't like using Twitter, Tumblr, etc...
